Starting its voyage from 30 June 1984, the K.V. Upper Camp, Dehradun, has emerged as a pioneering institute on  the horizon of Edu-dom to develop individuals with razor sharp abilities with the constant effort of the students ,timely guidance from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanqathan, cooperation from parents and community, unflinching sincerity and unflagging devotion of its dedicated staff. The Vidyalaya is Affiliated to the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), Delhi up to class XII wide Affiliation No. 08696.

The genesis of the KV : 

Kendriya Vidyalaya Uppercamp, is renowned in its area for its academic activities and quality education. It was stablished in 1984. 

Important milestones of growth:

a) 1984-School started functioning.
b) 5 Acres of land given by Dehradun Cantt. Dehradun
c) 1985- New building inaugurated

Gradual Year wise expansion

• 1984- KV Uppercamp – classes upto VI
• 1987 – First batch of class IX.
• 1989 - First batch of class XI
• 2008- First batch of class XI Commerce.
